The Jock Sinclair Newcomer award goes to a driver who has so far competed in eleven rounds of our Championship.

Not one to do things by halves, the start his racing exploits in quite a car and with huge enthusiasm, he has made himself very much at home in our Paddock and indeed in the Saker awning, where getting ‘Sakered’ is fast becoming a motorsport metric!

Supported by a regular team of family and friends, he has made good progress through the season. Often heard words of encouragement along the lines of ‘use your brain’ and ‘how hard can it be,’ allowed a season finale without a novice cross, but perhaps more importantly with both the car and the Oulton Park barriers left in the shape they should be!

The recipient of the Jock Sinclair Newcomer of the Year trophy is Julian Wood.
